Our former shop and metals studio was located in a fully restored former Masonic Hall in Downtown Ellsworth, Maine. Both spaces were the coat and costume closets for the members and guests of the building. When naming our shop, we were in need of a logo that was simple and memorable. To pay proper homage to the history of the building, where it all began, we took the phonetic pronunciation of the word C-O-A-T, (KōT).

In April of 2018 we purchased a building on State Street, along the banks of the Union River in downtown Ellsworth. We spent most of spring, 2018 readying for our re-opening peeling back layers of wooden paneling and scrubbing brick to bring our new space alive. We opened our doors in July. We invite you to visit us in our new space @ 6 State Street Ellsworth, ME 04605.
